Co-enzymated B1 for Parkinson's Disease

Dear all,

I recently learnt about Co-enzymated B1 and the better absorption rate.

How do these compare to the oral B1 or the superior source B1 sublingual for treating PD?

What are the possible starting doses and if they have side effects unlike oral B1? Will Magnesium , B complex supplements and other supplements be necessary for this?

Thanks and Regards

Dinesh

Thanks for this. Is there a site that compares the doses of each derivative?

I have not much idea on this. I simply got information, that this form of B1 is stronger and one should be cautious with the dose. So I wondering if someone here are using it already and learn about their experience.

I was going to trial it and compare it with superior source sublingual to be able to pass on information to my Facebook group -

facebook.com/groups/parkins...

Then I decided not to risk upsetting what has worked very well for me for over five years - superior Source.

When I spoke to Elliot Overton, he suggested that for people who couldn’t take thiamine mononitrate (superior Source), it was an alternative.

“Better absorption” can mean too much thiamine, so, if you try it I would possibly start with a half tablet and not every day. You would get the same overdose symptoms from this form as any other form ie worsening symptoms.

You might not need so much magnesium as the thiamine has already been coenzymated.

Hope this helps!
