Daphne Bryant discusses B1

B1 hasn’t done that much for me as far as I can tell, but we’re all different eh? Here’s ‘one of our own’ describing her experiences with the B1.

Sorry, I do not know. Other than read Daphne's book

I watched yesterday, my opinion a little rude to discuss things not part of interview that may not agree with her book and not give her any way to offer a rebuttal.

B1 doesn't do anything for me that I'm aware of, but I recommend people get and read Daphne's book.

Hi Jeeves19,

It’s really interesting that B1 is not being found helpful by some people.

I’ve noticed since I started taking it that I have less fatigue, more focus and motivation (been able to apply to eating better, work, exercise, social life). Too much and I feel as if I’m on “speed”

On the NSB IV with neurologist, Prof Bas Bloem, it was a fantastic talk on exercise but I recollect he wasn’t encouraging about B1. I expect he might be on science advisory panels of grant awarding bodies (e.g. MJFF). B1 wasn’t the subject of the talk it was mentioned briefly in answer to a Q. I’d like to understand where his thinking is coming from on that.

Given the complexity of B1, with dosing issues and time taken to see any effects, I’ve wondered if a AI machine learning, cohort approach might be more fruitful than an RCT. I’m part of Tim Spector’s AI Zoe nutrition study (in uk at Kings College London).

Interestingly, they found my blood sugar regulation was poor (14 day continuous sensor Abbott). I was surprised, as it’s not something that’s ever been flagged for me before and I’m very careful with sugar/other carbs. I was taking HDT B1 at the time and I have since read that it can impact blood sugar regulation.

My poor glucose also makes me think of the UK exanatide study. As I understand it, there’s a thought that insulin resistance in the brain might be involved in PD in some way.

I’ve yet not had time to read a lot or repeat the Zoe study with glucose monitor. I’m just sharing a few thoughts that I hope might be helpful.

Re- your point about Prof Bloem, my husband says it’s simply a case of ‘someone else’s discovery’, and a neurologist to boot, not even a ‘prof’. I did write to Bloem about his comment and my experience, but of course I got no reply.

Hi Daphne,

That might be right about someone else’s theory. There are so many publications in science people only have time to engage with what they are most interested in -what holds real meaning for them. It maybe no interest. It could also be a very overloaded inbox.

I wonder if Michel (NSB) might be willing to reach out and enquire what prompted the negative response, as he has an established contact/relationship and could maybe begin a dialogue?

On another video, Bloem refers to high dose thiamine as dangerous!

Thanks for reply. That’s very interesting, the idea it’s dangerous. It would be really helpful to understand more about that POV and the evidence. My experience is that HDT really helps me take the exercise he’s recommended.

I will contact Michel to see what he thinks about possibly enquiring further.

I might be going down with Covid today, so will rest.

Oh dear, take care. Hopefully, if it is Covid you will have a mild version.

cardiology. Thanks for the input. Good of you to contribute. Unfortunately (and I’ve read your post several times), I’m not really sure what point you’re making 😂. Too much sugar can negate the efficacy of B1. Is that the essence of where you’re at?

hi Jeeves 19

I’m sorry it wasn’t clear. You are right it could have been clearer. I think I may be going down with Covid. I’m not too well but I will come back to it when I can.

costantini knew what he was doing, but alas, he is no longer around to defend himself and extend by elaborating his vast experience. But he most definitely knew what he was doing. You want to read up on him even if it takes 500 entries to review. You might want to look into it here if improvement of your symptoms is worth it to you. Some people just want to find something to engage themselves while they are awake. All others might profit from the effort, but of course they would have to believe in profit coming from effort. Dr costantini. B1. HDT. Either do the work or shut up...STFU, as the phrase goes.

Marion. What on Earth possess’s you to feel the need to speak to people in such a way? I read back the posts to try and understand what causes you to be so rude but find little of contention, provocation or alarm. Then you wade in and tell everyone to STFU. Really classy Marion.

Jeeves,

Look at the positive side of nasty posts - those of us who are not native English speakers get a chance to expand our limited vocabulary - I've never came across stfu before and had to Google it to find the meaning 😊
