“If Who is on First, What is on Second; No, He is on Third” (TTFD, Allithiamine, Fursultiamine)

TTFD is a B1 (Thiamine Tetrahydrofurfuryl Disulfide)

The chemical Allithiamine (thiamine allyl disulfide or TAD) en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Allit...

The product Allithiamine does not contain Allithiamine, it contains 50mg of TTFD walmart.com/ip/Allithiamine...

The generic name for TTFD is Fursultiamine en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fursu...

The prescription drug in Japan “Arinamin-F” active ingredient is pure “Fursultiamine hydrochloride”. Can be ordered in 5mg, 25mg and 50mg tablets. mimaki-family-japan.com/ite...

Also, dpkitaoka.com/product-page/...

Over-The-Counter (OTC) drug in Japan Arinamin-EX Plus contains other stuff alinamin-kenko.jp/en/produc...

Ingredients: Fursultiamine (vitamin B1 derivative) 100mg (in fursultiamine hydrochloride equivalent, 109.16mg). Via emails with Alinamin Pharmaceutical, I have determined: 1) 100mg is for 3 tablets 2) Fursultiamine is TTFD and the “The "hydrochloride" part comes off when dissolved in the stomach, etc., so it does not affect absorption”.

I would prefer a reference that states “fursultiamine hydrochloride” is as absorbable in the body as Fursultiamine (TTFD). “Fursultiamine hydrochloride” is marketed as odorless TTFD.

Oh, Ecological Formulas has another product Lipothiamine which is also TTFD. pureformulas.com/lipothiami...

The quote is, "Who's on first, what's on second and I don't know's on third."

I could suggest that instead of changing the form of thiamine you use, change the way in which you use it! The basic B1 has a good track record of success with many many people!

It's hard to determine when symptoms return. I think I'm going to give up of TTFD and try Thiamine HCL.

Alll forms of thiamine at the right dose for you will produce the SAME results. Put very simply, you have healthy neurons, ailing neurons and dead neurons. When you find the right B1 dose it will help the ailing neurons back to health and function but the dead will stay dead. All types of thiamine do this. (I borrow the very simplistic explanation on neurons in a PD brain from Dr C)

I think it is interesting that in Japan Arinamin-F is available in doses as small as 5 mg and recommended does are 1-2 tablets 3 times a day (I think, I would benefit from taking multiple times a day). I have a good mind to go to my bank and see how much a wire transfer would cost me. The only source I found won't accept my credit card.

Arinamin EX plus tablets don't taste as bad as the contents of a TTFD capsule and can be very accurately cut in half. The biggest problem is all the OTC drugs (supplements) I have found all have additional stuff in them.

Bottom line -- TTFD not only has a lack of research, it also has a lack of definition...

Check out Zhittya Genesis Medicine Inc. for an experimental treatment that really works. Best thing I ever did!

Gcf51, I am not a scammer nor am I a spokesperson for Zhittya, I am just a private person who believes in fighting for herself and now others. I was diagnosed with PD in July 2008 at the age of 53. Before the FGF-1 treatment I was taking 9 Rytary per day with not so great side effects. I am now taking 2 Rytary per day. My worst symptoms were major cognitive decline, which cost me a career I loved, tremoring and dizziness causing imbalance. 3 weeks after the treatment my cognitive abilities returned, however the tremors and imbalance were better but not optimal. Zhittya has worked with me to determine what is the best logical next step for my improvement. I now know I will be redosed this month. For me this means I stand to gain further improvements with the tremoring and imbalance.

To be perfectly honest, this is the first time I have put myself and my opinions out there. As mentioned earlier, I am a very private person, now with a new lease on life. Maybe this is not the correct venue, I have a lot to learn. I do want to impart to you a few rules I live by: 1) be honest and ethical; 2) be a fighter for yourself; 3) if you do nothing, nothing changes; 4) if you lean forward, a willingness to look for and consider new, out of the box ideas, you have everything to gain and 5) I am worth any risk I choose will benefit me. I certainly benefited from being treated with FGF-1. I used this venue in hopes that in some small way it will make others aware there are other out of the box treatments available, albeit some may come at a cost. If anyone chooses to not believe me then that is their right. But to accuse without knowledge or facts is not yours or anyone else’s right to do. I remain a Turtle with PD, however now in better health.

BRAVO! Now could you create thread instead of going off topic here so I don't read your propaganda by mistake. Thank you!
