" The theory behind its efficiency emphasizes the widening of the intervertebral foramen upon traction, with separation of the facet joint. This will relieve the sustained pressure on the nerve roots, and hence alleviate symptoms of radiculopathy."
I don't know how common my symptoms are, but as part of my PD, I suffer from poor posture (both lean - side to side - and stoop -forward). These are worse when I am "off", but improved when I am "on". The pain spreads down my back and side. I put this down to dystonia. Simple first-aid is to lie on my back and try to get the back of my head down on the floor, which is not easy for me, given my stoop.
Have you tried going to a Chinese traditional doctor and having cupping? I was developing a bit of a hump in my back and she did a couple of sessions of cupping on my upper back. This breaks up the fascia layer that is preventing your back to straighten. After that she did acupuncture. I’m not sure if that did anything.
Then she did diaphragm release by pressing on my ribs and stretching my arms back and down while laying on my back. Then I continued doing stretches every day to try and bring my shoulders back. I also got a foam roller which I use to rollover the top of my back. I lie on it and roll back and forth but if that’s to hard someone might be able to roll it over your back while you lay on your front. I also did twisting exercises every day lying on my back twisting my bent legs in one direction and head and shoulders the other way.
I have managed to straighten out the kink and get my shoulders back so my posture is much better. Not sure if that could help you?
In my case C/L relieves back pain because it restores correct muscle operation in my back, which otherwise complains when I stand up and walk about. I believe that you are experiencing this phenomenon, because C/L is not likely to do anything for stenosis or stenosis induced pain.
