In person conversation/Zoom vs written/texts/blogs/letters

I am really finding communication is so interesting with the new social media methods. I thought I was an okay communicator but wow, I have realized that I can be misunderstood. In person/Zoom works better for me. I like the instant feedback. It helps me understand if I feel my words communicated my intent. Body language, eyes tell a lot, immediate verbal feedback help me to develop the full true feelings that I am trying to relay. And yet, I love blogging, texting as well. I find I am communicating to more people and people from diverse places. This blog site felt like comfort because I know this group can truly understand what is happening to my body.

Anyway, just an observation. Maybe others have felt this way?

How do you lean?

I truly like all methods for all the reasons above but I feel I am a better communicator when I get immediate feedback and so therefore I lean 60-40 toward in person/Zoom.

But I could see myself on a semi deserted tropical island with no devices, if there were, at least, 40 people.

You are doing very well with no hint of social anxiety 7 years-ish into your PD. Social anxiety and communicating are two of my biggest PD boggies

Sorry, post is just to encourage you that you're doing very well 😃

Thanks Grumpy 77, I appreciate the kindness! I have retreated somewhat from my previous self. I have actually become more selfish with my time and only say yes to what I truly want to do. I used to do a lot things just to be nice. Cheers and I hope you have a great day!
