Benjamin Stecher is a well known young PwP who successfully underwent a form of DBS. If you google "Benjamin Stecher Deep Brain Stimulation" you can learn about his experience. Here's one link:
Husband had DBS for right side hand tremor at age 79 - 5 years ago. He was then able to eat, write and use computer. Replaced battery last year All is going well.
