Does anyone have any insights to share about the ‘Compassionate Use Clinical Trial’ being launched by Zhittya Genesis Medicine, Inc. ?

This company is promoting use of FGF1 (fibroblast growth factor 1) to induce "therapeutic angiogenesis" based on animal models of PD. They hypothesize that lack of sufficient blood flow to the substantia nigra is a cause of PD. This is a phase 1 safety study, the first test in humans, as far as I can tell. Most folks know by now that what works in animal models of PD doesn't work in humans with PD. Remember that only humans get PD.

Parkinson's disease is an environmental illness unless you have the ultra rare hereditary form of the disease.

Animals, can and do get Parkinson's disease. They also get ALS.

Thanks though for identifying the growth factor. The nose to brain pathway is well known. It's finally being exploited to deliver treatment via the same pathway that lead to my poisoning with Roundup.

I was dxed with ALS in 2019, my mom died from PD. I believe they are related forms of environmental illness. Increasingly, I see PD clinical trials spillover into ALS. This is one of them. The other is ketamine via a novel skin patch.

They are also running a clinical trial for ALS. I just signed up for it. Thanks for sharing the link.

FWIW, animals get ALS too, aka motor neuron disease and PD. ncraoa.com/can-dogs-get-par...

Sorry, not PD in dogs. Just like essential tremor is not PD. To my knowledge, it is not progressive and is not characterized by loss of dopaminergic neurons in the substantia nigra. If you have evidence otherwise, I would really like to know about it.

PD in humans is complex and we do not fully understand its etiology. Genetic forms are rarely 100% penetrant. Environmental factors are involved as well. It's not just Roundup exposure or exposure to other neurotoxins but probably a history of infectious illness.

Thanks for all of your responses. Looking into this a little I think they have launched in Mexico but not yet in the states.

I found some conflicting info the trial about whether it is an infusion or administered nasally, more recently suggesting the latter. I have inquired via their website but no info back. Was hoping someone out there knows more than me🙂
