Book recommendation

Hi all. Just wanted to recommend a boon written by one of our community (Dap1948). It’s called Music as Medicine and explores the way music can be used to alleviate many of our Parkinson’s symptoms. Full of practical tips and suggestions and thoroughly researched. Yet it’s an easy read. Quite concise. There just be something in it as despite now CV being diagnosed 6 years, I’m still gigging and singing in bands.

I bought the book a few months ago and especially like the sections on insomnia, brain fog, and gait problems. Music IS medicine in these areas and it’s well-documented. Check it out.

Ha ha! I am looking at your thoughful post again and realized I ordered the wrong book here in the US. You were referring to 'Music As Medicine particularly in Parkinsons.' There is at least one other book in 'America titled Music As Medicine.' Which I mistakenly purchased. This is not your mistake but mine, which I hadn't realized until now. Again, thanks for supporting accomplished community members with admiration and respect.

Good for you! I have that one although it’s been along time since I’ve read it. No I take that back I listened to it on CD in the car. Back when I could drive LOL. But it is good and it’s uplifting and hopeful. You’ve inspired me to re-read it. Or sit in the car in the driveway and listen.
