Cannabis for PD symptom relief

It’s been suggested by a friend in Australia that I try cannabis to ease my PD symptoms. Has anyone else tried it with any success?

Yes I take 1ml of 10:10 (VBD/THC) oil sub lingual just before bed. Minimal tremor - better sleep - good chance of 7-8 hrs of sleep. I don't take it daytime as I like to be fully alert

My husband uses Tilray 10/10 (CBD:THC) 6 drops before bed (0.3ml) and sleeps 7 plus hours straight. This is a prescribed product and available in NZ and Oz. Cost NZ$245 and lasts two months. He has some products from ‘green fairies’ but this Tilray is superior in every way and you know what you are getting.

Yes Tilray helps. I had a few weeks off it to test to see if it was helping and it seems to help me to initiate steps more smoothly. Not so hesitant now. Apart from a slight tremor in my finger which caused me to get diagnosed years ago I dont have any tremors so cant vouch for that but it gave me a 60 % improvement when starting to take steps to walk. That initial tremor must be helped by the sinemet I think as it stopped once on sinemet along time ago.

It doesn't make me sleepy. The Theraleaf brand with a small amount of THC did a bit. I didnt feel that one helped me

I’ve used it regularly since diagnosis in 2003. I prefer the Indica or mixed Sativa/Indica strain. I primarily use a vaporizer or edibles to avoid ingesting smoke. It unquestionably relaxes me and compliments my prescription drugs. My tremors are minimal. And contrary to popular belief, it’s not addictive and, for me, it’s far less incapacitating than alcohol.

I think I have found a blend that relaxes my body but does not make me feel high - loopy sanchez

It took me a while to figure out dosage, but I use edibles and a dry herb/vaporizer. The edibles take hours to take effect (good for helping me sleep all the way through the night), and the vaporizer takes effect in about 10 minutes. I'm a micro-doser also; don't want to be high, just take the edge off symptoms. Both "regular" / Delta 9 cannabis as well as Delta 8 work for me. I dislike the idea of ingesting chemicals used to process Delta 8, though.

Has helped tremendously with sleep. I use a product that is 1:1 Cbd/THC tincture. However a bout 2/3 of the THC is THCa, non psychoactive. I have to take a week or two break every few months, or I develop tolerance. So if you find you have to take more over time, it’s a good idea to take that break, I do it by substituting a higher CBD tincture, at least 20:1, and switchover during a few days.

No, but hubby does take CBD oil. 1200. Takes in morning and before going to bed. He has no tremors but a Nurse told me their have been reports of CBD oil helping reduce tremors.

Purchases the CBD oil from headandheal.com
