Does it stop tremor

It helps my husband when he gets shaky and anxious and helps with the unpleasant leg movements. He doesn't have bad tremors otherwise.

Does cannabis stop resting tremor? I would say no, but it alleviates / softens / calms / eases them. Same as the state of being between sleep and wakefulness.

Gooey Rabinski in an Article titled Medical Marijuana Apr 2015 states:

"According to one study, smoking cannabis significantly reduced the tremors associated with PD, improved sleep, and reduced pain in patient participants. In the same study, "no significant adverse effects were observed. This suggests that cannabis might have a place in the therapeutic armamentarium of PD."

Armamentariums aside, my own experience confirms these observations. Actually tremors were not just reduced, they stopped altogether.

It also helps when legs are very heavy. Dr. Barbara Harris, in her books talks about "micro-dosing" A couple of tokes once in awhile to maintain a nice level of better being. There's a spirituality in smoking weed that helps transcend pains.

Cannabis stops my tremor faster than Sinemet. It is shameful that it remains illegal in so many places. I think it is Big Pharma greed, can you imagine an natural product working over Sinemet and Mirapex? It also improves my sleep when taken right before bed.

Do u take a pd drug as well?

Yes, I take sinemet, mirapex and entacapone which is an extender. I believe if one could obtain Doctor support and if most effective types and dosages were identified you could likely use only cannabis. Being illegal makes it hard to give up my traditional treatment. For sure there is tremendous potential to treat PD.

I live in Coldspring, TX. I was diagnosed with PD at 52. I frequently forget to take my meds on time and that's when I smoke pot, it lines me out right away. I have tried straight CBD oil but it does not work for me. My own testing indicates at least 15% THC is needed 20% even better. Pot has no side effects as compared to my pd meds. Where do you live?
