Contracting? Probably not. I haven't seen any evidence of that, anyway.

In terms of what happens should you contract it?

Given the rate at which PWP eventually suffer from respiratory issues (not to mention all of the rest of what PD is doing to us that isn't readily apparent) I'd say PD has the potential to be an underlying health condition of significance.

I would get it if it is available to you.

Let his doctor decide. We are not qualified to give medical advice.

If you don't want to participate in the covid threads, you don't have to.

In terms of medical advice, yesterday you were giving Roy (nonsense advice, too) advice on cancer treatment:

Here in France PD is considered a covid risk condition and I was entitled to early vaccination and would be entitled to an early booster

If you are going to call that impermissible medical advice, by that standard most of the useful posts on this forum would be excluded.

I agree yes PWP are at high risk due to mechanical problems with the lungs

Also, as someone from outside the US we are not censored as you in are,. Many PDers including me, take NAC whch has been found to greatly boost the immune system so I believe the FDA in your country are trying to stop you getting it, pulled fromAmazon amd Wallmart I believe

I have just been offered booster, having it on Saturday. My husband with PD will have his as well. Just seems the best thing to do we don’t want to get COVID.

Many with PD are over 65 and qualify on that basis. My experience has been that, in the US at least, they do not ask for documentation of 'high risk' status. Lung function can be subtly compromised even in early PD, although we are not classified as a high risk group. Given the way that any viral infection seems to make my PD symptoms 10x worse than usual, I certainly plan to get the booster. Can't afford a mild case of COVID-19 since it will probably leave me frozen.
