Study: Evening use of light-emitting eReaders negatively affects sleep, circadian timing, and next-morning alertness

A few highlights: 55% less melatonin produced, less REM sleep, and having a hard time getting started in the morning. Best of all? The effects on circadian clock caused a 90 minute delay in feeling ready for bed the next day.

I'm learning that a good nights sleep may be one of the most precious gifts we can give to ourselves, not just for cognitive health but overall health as well.
