I'd hoped it would stop the tremors but hasn't. Each time she uses different spots and amounts of drug. And constantly asks, "Is this hurting you?"
Most of the injections are around the elbow and I can't bend enough for her to hit the right spots. I suggested she borrow a phlebotomy table and she acted like I'd re-invented the wheel.
She says I've improved a lot, walking better, swinging my arms better and no stiffness in the elbow. But I see no improvement in the tremor.
And the needle sticks wouldn't stop bleeding. She had to use several bandaids. I wanted to suggest she wrap my arm in Coban. But had reached my smartass quota for the day so I kept my mouth shut.
I forgot to mention I'd been taking a lot of ibuprofen lately because of headaches.

Hey there! I was asked by healthunlocked to see if I can answer your question.
My husband just returned from his neurologist/movement disorder clinic after having botox in his jaw. Never heard of using botox for tremor?
When were you diagnosed? How old are you? Any other health factors? Are you seeing a neurologist who specializes in Pd?
Sorry for all the questions, but wanted a bit of background info. Sounds like you are not being seen by a specialist..to effectively stop tremors, other alternatives can be researched. DBS has been highly effective in my husbands situation. Had it in place since 2003! We see the movement disorder clinic every 3 months.
Hey kaypeech, I have been getting Botox injections every 3-4 months in my foot, leg, hand for dystonia. Haven’t heard about someone getting it for tremors. This last time I opted to not get it because I have been going through the evaluation process for DBS, I really noticed the difference and how it was helping me. It doesn’t work for everyone though. Good luck and I hope you get some relief. Karen
