Not sure what's considered mega-dose. Scanning I saw 18,000mg then later saw 100mg twice weekly.

There's a LOT of information in this video and even more in the full article. But after looking at it fairly extensively, I'm pretty sure that he (Elliot Overton, who is a nutritionist, not a medical doctor) doesn't specifically give any dosing guidelines for HDT. However, he refers to many studies and papers, including quite a good but brief description of what Dr Constantini studied, wrote about, and practiced. And, since we have Dr C's dosing advice, we may not need Overton's.

If you haven't tried to apply Dr C's advice concerning HDT then you're missing out. What Overton has done is to lay out quite nicely, in this article and some videos, the reasoning behind HDT and why it works (or at least a plausible theory, I think). This might just be the well-reasoned, information-dense type of article that some of us have been waiting for, before feeling comfortable even bringing up the issue of HDT to our own doctors and neuros.

Also, this might let us explore ways to make Dr C's own version of HDT work better for us. For example, this video talks about the side effects of HDT; potassium and magnesium deficiencies.

One caution about Overton's information: in his clinic work, he uses a different form of Thiamine (not HCL) called Thiamine TTFD, which is a synthetic form. To paraphrase this video: "TTFD is the most potent form, but also the form that is most likely to cause side effects." So, take everything he says cautiously because he might be talking about this other, synthetic form.

Just to explain why you might care about this information: I take 3.5g of Thiamine HCL daily, and I would often have a mild-to-medium headache just after. Starting at about 9 minutes into this video, he talks about side effects, including headaches. I already take a magnesium supplement, and after watching this, I started taking a potassium supplement as well, and my headaches are no more!
