As someone with very active dyskinesia, treating it with ketamine is not appealing at all.
I've tried it after reading it can work for people with depression not responsive to standard drug treatments. I followed the protocol detailed on Pubmed: 100mg ketamine infusion given IV over 20 minutes.
It was a wild ride. It would take all day to describe it but suffice to say it knocked me out of my depression funk.
yes! that's amazing! ketamine and other psychedelics are making their way to the mainstream as medicines that are really effective for treating depression, ptsd, addiction and other neurological conditions where people would like to break patterns and habits... microdosing psilocybin 1000000% took my dad out of his depression. at such low doses, folks mostly feel positive long-term changes as opposed to the feeling of being high. ketamine is the one at the forefront of psychedelics for medical treatment, as it is the one that is legal to prescribe... ketamine for dyskinesia, though, wow, interesting! good for you for taking that chance, kaypeeoh!
No danger to me. I'm a veterinarian, 36 years in practice. Ketamine is still one of the best anesthetics. I used it daily in my surgical practice. From 2# kittens to 1000# horses.
