Ill never make it till june 16th . is this just typical heading of brain trauma or something else . forgive my typing im a wreck all the time with symptoms fully engaged. is my live over now? how can dbs really help me with my bizarre symptoms all at t he same time. nerves twitching, and muscles twitching and shaking tingling all while frozen inside and out. Oh lordy , feels so strange . am i dying or shutting down , is this mental or physical or both. they say give it time, but this is insane thank you, a ruined person now. .

yes, she's in bad shape so this is her daughter writing on her behalf because she cannot speak very well. We contacted the doc- he is out of town until monday. Hopefully they can see her this week :)

Seems to me from what I have observed that more than ever the patient has to be their own advocate. I have a friend who just went through awful experience.... none of her doctors would respond to what she was saying and decided she was fine...she finally took herself to the hospital and found out she had pneumonia. I am voting for, go to the office and just sit there till they can see you which of course is easier said than done since you feel horrible. Be sure and take the most strong-willed and insistent person you know. We are so vulnerable....we don’t want to make these people mad at us because we need their help. It is a lousy position to be in. I hope you feel better soon!!!

Hi fossygma, have you tried turning the device off? Or is it even worse when it is off? Consult your doctor about this.

I can understand your anxiety right now. Have you always suffered from anxiety? Or Only after you had the DBS surgery? Anyway if you’re not already on anxiety meds you should definitely talk to your doctor about starting them at least until you get your DBS sorted...

If the doctor fails to respond in a timely manner to what is clearly contrary to the boundaries of expected outcomes - even potentially dangerous - contact them via an attorney ASAP.

Make them see you. I really feel for you and understand your fears.. My partner has had similar experiences lately. As others have already said, insist!!! My thoughts are with you..

Just take it step by step- I believe things will balance .. do u have a movement SPECIALIST? if u have to get 2nd opinion.. I have anxiety and it has gotten so bad when i feel my body is off- I have ended up feelin crazy..and with rolling panic attacks...I keep focusing on my strange feelings... first thing is to be assessed by the specialist..don't leave till this is thoroughly looked at ... You will be ok! Take Care

Hope your daughter gets you to see the doc today when he gets back in town. Enidah said helpful things I think. No fun at all to be the "squeaky wheel" but sometimes ya gotta be that.

Similar experience, remember you can turn it off and go back to your meds. You can have it removed. I have kepty dbs going since ,2011, While it help my pain and motor movement, it wreaked havoc on my memory, voice, and. I spiraled into deep depression withe mom stop thoughts of suicide. My creativity exploded but eventually I came crashing down. I apologize for the disjointed rambling, but it has been a long exhausting spirale down trip down hill

I pray for you.

Omg. Everyone’s experiences sound awful and seriously debilitating. I am in the testing process to see if I’m approved for DBS and my dr explained that he would most likely see me every 2 weeks during the adjustment period to find the correct range. Just from research once a month doesn’t sound right and I agree , just go sit in the office and don’t take no for an answer. Take care.. Karen

Karen,

Would you consider FUS even the one that is performed in the States?

its way past adjustment , aniety and panic attacks have me captive in my own body, or fear of it coming on . Is this just a reaction to the surgery and nothing to with adjustments ?

Can you take some Valium for a few days? You can’t function until the anxiety is under control.
