Ummm let’s 17 years! Husband had DBS installed 17 years ago and still going strong! Needs yearly battery replacement though. We are hoping for rechargeable ones this time around. 🤞

Yearly replacement? You should write to Elon Musk for help with the battery life! Battery life has changed immensely in the past few years.

If you don't mind, could you please tell us how young is your husband now? Which country?

BTW, I believe that it is all limited by the length of time they have been able to observe, that's all. After all, look at the Covid-19 vaccine now. They are saying immunity for actually 6 months based on a section of people starting from the trials. If they watch it for another year and the same cohort of people stay protected, they will say a year and a half!

Hi there! My husband had young on set PD at age 36. He will be 58 this year. We live in South Carolina, USA.

D is a VA patient so we will only receive batteries “preferred” by the VA. 🙏 for a cure!
