From the link:

"Research has shown that collagen peptide supplements can improve skin firmness and hydration, reduce skin roughness and wrinkle width and lead to healthier skin. "

Collagen is a useful supplement and I agree that not all collagen supplements are created equal. I wrote about a friend of mine who had full depth torn tendons and ligaments diagnosed by contrast dye MRI. The surgeon told my friend he was not a candidate for physical therapy as a method of repair because the damage was too extensive and surgery was his only option.

I talked to my friend about postponing the surgery for a couple of months to see if a specific collagen supplement might help as he could always do the surgery later so my friend agreed to give it a try. Here is a link to his experience:

I think it is also worth taking higher dose vitamin C with collagen as vitamin C is used by the body to make collagen among other things. I am currently taking the same collagen supplement as my friend did.

After a lot of physical therapy I used amino acid (Peptide) injections for my labrum tear / shoulder, in lieu of surgery. Glad I did. (BPC157 and CJC1295). Collagen and Vit C are much more accessible/cost effective. Glad to see it working!

My friend no longer needs to take that collagen supplement and has regained about 95%+ usage of his arm. He is currently using HDM and that may be a factor as melatonin is helpful with collagen issues.
