Open mouth breathing

My husband was diagnosed with Parkinson's 3+ years ago. He's done well with the regimen of Sinemet. I've noticed in the few weeks his breathing is pretty much all done through open mouth . I'm his personal trainer too and when we walk or exercise, he breathes in through his nose and out through his mouth just fine. But other than that, his mouth is open as he breathes.

Anyone have this same involuntary movement?

I have the same problem and I gather it is fairly common. Tell that to my teeth! I have tried different several remedies without success.
