Ironically my brother in law (82y/o) also has PD. He is pretty stiff, moving slowly, having trouble swallowing. Some tremor. Most difficult symptom is hallucinations -he sees people (calls them "the visitors"), esp. at night. He describes them as kind of half-ghostly. Sometimes more distracting and disturbing than others. Neuro has him on Seroquel and C/L, but Seroquel is quite sedating...he falls asleep shortly after taking med, for about 45-60 minutes. Just switched to Nuplazid this week along with C/L, and the visitors are back with more form and frequency. His daughter is beside herself trying to care for him along with her kids and husband. He lives alone. They have someone coming in to fix dinner and spend 3-4 hours with him 3 days/week, since "visitors" are less when there's someone there. Any other thoughts about meds to try? (all other physical reasons for hallucinations ruled out, seems to be PD psychotic dementia symptom.)
