My professional opinion is in some cases it helps and since it has been used for 50 plus years with minimal side effects —please don’t tell me about arrhythmias—it’s safe .so My professional opinion is —don’t like it —don’t take it 🙂

I took hydroxychloroquine for a month, and I broke out in severe hive...I’m allergic to it. Stopped taking it, and it took a month for the hives to completely go away.BTW, I had been diagnosed with lupus. Diagnosis was revised to Ankylosing Spondylitis years later.

I think they were 200-mg tablets. I think I took one pill twice a day, so 2/day. It took a month for enough to accumulate in my body to elicit the allergic response.
