They're considered 'master points' meaning they're integral to every TCM diagnosis and treatment. GB 34 connects to the gall bladder. Lr3 connects to the liver. Essentially these are the yin and yang points for liver disease. So it says PD is rooted in liver dysfunction. The article says these two points can attenuate substantia nigra degeneration.? I'm moving to Massachusetts and already sent my needles there. Once I'm settled it would be an easy test. GB 34 is on the lateral side of the knee in the ligament connecting the tibia to the fibula. Lr3 is in the webbing between the 1st and 2nd toes.

Time passes. It's been two years since I wrote this. I'd forgotten about it since moving from Wyoming to Colorado then from Colorado to Connecticut. The photo might show needles in my Gb 34 and Lv 3. The article says it was a rat study. But rats, like dogs, cats and horses, don't have a Lv3. In humans it's in between the 5th and 4th metatarsals. It's an important acupuncture point so in dogs I might have out a needle between the 4th and 3rd metacarpals. I found over time that injecting ozone into acupuncture points worked better than dry needling. I may try that next time.

I've been receiving Acupuncture now for about a month and my practitioner uses the two points mentioned plus more on the body and scalp. I feel amazingly relaxed during and after the sessions! I've been going 3 times per week so far. It's worth a try!
