Has anyone tried getting Microbiome tested ?

It's a topic that's been extensively discussed before, and several of us have had tests. There is research to show pwp have a microbiome which is not just"wrong", but wrong in an identifiable way you could use as a diagnostic tool.
What's not clear is whether you can change that and change the Parkinson's.
Unfortunately the available market tests don't readily distinguish that information and focus on diet change personalisation.
There are ongoing clinical trials for faecal transplants which is an area i intend to look at closely after my SPARK trial
I ran a microbiome testing for dad but there is still a lot of info needed in regards to bacteria interactions, etc to be able to get somewhere. It’s good to eliminate or be aware of the pathogens
I wonder if this mean they can induce parkinson in mice just by using fecal matter from pwp:
"Studies in animals, genetically hardwired to develop Parkinson's, show gut bacteria were necessary for the disease to emerge. And when stool was transplanted from Parkinson's patients to those mice, they developed "much worse" symptoms than using faeces sourced from a healthy individual."
Thank you. I like Dr Mischley but sometimes prefer to think for myself. And I am unaware of any reliable evidence for Perlmutters probiotic enemas. These are profoundly NOT equivalent to FMT's. It will be interesting to see the results of trials such as this one clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/show...
Have not been tested but am taking pro-biotics (costco) for enhanced gut flora.
