YOUTUBE: Dr. Erickson COVID-19 Briefing. Are other countries following the lead of the United States? Why?
Here is amazing post about Covid-19 and s... - Cure Parkinson's
Here is amazing post about Covid-19 and social . It takes about an hour on YouTube. Very worthwhile. No bias. Backed by science.
Two urgent care doctors who certainly didn't get an "A" in medical or epidemiogical statistics class. Multiple flaws in their analysis. Poorly done. Skip it.

Check out Dr. John Ioannidis at Stanford. He pretty much agrees with the concept of the doctors in Kern County, Ca.
bepo,
He isn't agreeing.
All he is saying is that we are making policy decisions without reliable data.
Big deal Dr.L . Hello academia.
Brilliant deduction without any basis in reality. It will probably be months before we have any reliable, valid (in a bio-statistical sense) data. So we go with what we have available at the national, state, and county levels adjusting every day to the new inputs that become available. Some of it is garbage; some of it isn't. But we have no way of knowing in a timely fashion.
This is how reality works.
Sharon
"Reality" has an endgame. Until this 'pandemic' I was never aware of the huge amount of corruption there is with regards to pharma. Now, I am aware of Bill Gates and his power, and profit motive. I am aware of Fauci and his profit motive. It scares the sh....t out of me!
It should.
You can add in Dr. Bavasi (in the deep, dark shadows of this mess) from Nebraska's Med Ctr. plus the folks at Duke and UNC. A whole lot of US medical scientists are on the payroll in one way or another of China. Yet they never disclose their "conflict of interest" when they get on TV or write a paper defending China.
Both sides of the fence are to blame on this one.
Sharon
Trump fans I’m thinking.
By the way the social distancing does work. Here in New Zealand we have it pretty much eliminated. There is only 1 case since the beginning of April that they can’t trace the source of. Only 5 new cases today, and they are associated with known clusters that are locked down. Tomorrow we are going to phase 3 of lock down which means more businesses can open if they can do it safely. We will do this for 2 weeks. And monitor. If there is a new case we have teams of people tracing their every contact and locking them down. We have closed borders to non residents and everyone coming home from overseas must isolate in a government facility for 14 days.
In 2 weeks if there are no outbreaks we will move to level 2 which means we will be able to have small gatherings again.
To me this sensible approach has caused less harm to the economy than letting the virus go for it.
Our hospitals and ICUs aren’t busy. We have only 19 deaths and almost all of these are dementia patients with do not resuscitate orders. They are almost all in their 90s and 80s. No deaths in health workers.
Australia is in a similar situation. Soon we may be able to open the border between us again. I feel safe here. Not fearful.
That's fantastic. I am wondering if there is more exposure to sun and vitamin D.
Trying to find explanations that fit your theories! It is southern hemisphere and it is Autumn now. I think sun exposure and Vit D is a red herring. As the papers in american comment the two countries have differing parties in power - one liberal one conservative but they have both been successful. They have not been political point scoring, and they have believed the scientists. Sharyn finds the numbers difficult to believe. I dont, they took action early. NZ 20 deaths, 5 million pop. Aussie 83 deaths, 25 million pop.
I don't have theories. I repeat what has been proved in science. (Because google, facebook, news media, etc are invested in pharmaceuticals, you really have to hunt to find the science. They block everything that casts aspersions on pharma.) The US science, whom everyone believes, is totally flawed. The CDC, the FDA, the NIH, the EPA are all backed and sponsored by pharmaceuticals.
I find the Aussie and NZ numbers somewhat difficult to believe on a per capita/1 million basis.
In the US, we have 16 states with a death toll less than Australia and NZ but none (including Hawaii or Alaska) near their per capita numbers. However, both countries are rather remote with dispersed (much less dense than US) populations. Still, I am amazed.
Well they are correct. They have had pretty much every initial case to come into the country nailed down a month or so ago and they even count people in households with a confirmed case as probables even if they test negative. They are in the totals until they either turn positive or are removed. The key was they shut down early enough that our hospitals haven’t been swamped, and no new cases have got in without quarantining. They have done a lot of testing and have now random tested thousands of people at supermarkets all over the country, all of whom have returned negative results so it’s just not in the population. The few new cases have been in the households of confirmed cases, and medical staff plus people returning from overseas.
I'm still amazed at your extremely low deaths per 1 million population. Pretty incredible. Much better than almost any country who is reporting reliable data other than Australia. Of course, it may not be over.
We are still in the throes of being infected primarily in our northeastern portion of our country. No islands.
Yes I’ve been amazed myself! Do you think it’s because it was summer there when it started? I know humidity doesn’t stop this virus but could UV light lower infection? I guess we will see as summer starts in northern hemisphere. I think New Zealand has has done really well we could definitely learn from them. Also Germany seems to be doing pretty well I wonder what they have been doing differently? I know mustard is very antiviral it sounds silly to some but different foods can have antiviral compounds. And regional diets might have an effect.
It also might have something to do with the fact that NZ is a very remote Island nation with a very low population density with a very controlled immigration policy historically. Very different than northern Italy which is just the opposite.
Columbia University and Cedars-Sinai are conducting experiments using far-UVC light inserted into the trachea.
At 27,000-28,000 deaths Italy is still in a serious situation as is the US and many other countries. Sweden, which was and is the model for "continually open" has a major problem as well. 12% mortality as a percent of confirmed cases.
This serious situation is far from over. Don't kid yourself.

There is just something different about this virus it’s very unnatural, it will be hard to overcome
I read it a month ago, but today it was on the mainstream news. The virus is man made. You can thank Fauci for that. He went against the 1989 law, (I believe it was 1989,) whereby you cannot take a virus and make it more virulent. He worked together with the Chinese. They took the virus back to Wuhan, where it apparently escaped.
It is presumed Sweden will develop herd immunity. Then, they're done, while the rest of the world catches up to the number of deaths through repeated resurgences.
That rate for Sweden will, presumably, drop when the number of cases are calculated.
The number of confirmed cases hasn't dropped in Sweden. Today (May 06) Sweden had more than 700 new cases and is running at a mortality rate of an astounding 12.5% of CCs. They are lost in what to do but refuse to admit it. Sweden is irrelevant in the global picture so it really doesn't matter much.
Nice try on your part. Keep up the effort. I have faith.

Yes, being an island and late to get our first case helped. But we have a very sensible prime minister and health director general and they listened to advice of the virus specialists. I think being a very young and idealistic prime minister and new mother helped as she still thinks she can change the world and didn’t get caught up in all the “ can’t do it, too impractical” talk that other older more experienced leaders did. Also being left wing socialist she tended to go for peoples health before the economy. She had friends in the UK very early on who caught it and urged her to close the border and she decided to go hard very early as all the financial modelling showed the economy will recover much more quickly if this is stamped out completely.
The government has paid out billions in wage subsidies to allow people to carry on being paid for 12 weeks and banks are allowing home owners and business to defer mortgage payments albeit with interest. Fortunately it couldn’t have come at a better time with interest rates so low.
One of our main export incomes is Overseas tourism though So that is completely wiped out along with all the businesses that support tourism. Also overseas students prop up our universities. But of course New Zealanders and Australians can’t go any where else so hopefully they will divert their travel budget into spending at home, those of us who still have an income to afford a holiday. So some hope. Scary times though, as we have a daughter at university and son in last year of school wondering whether jobs will be there for them at the end of it.
At least it feels safe here. Maybe overseas students may be allowed to come in for next year as long as they quarantine. Who knows, it may be a competitive advantage if it’s seen as a safe place to send your kids to study or to take a very long summer holiday.
What happens if the virus returns? Your country, presumably, has not developed herd immunity.
Our borders are closed until a cure or vaccine is developed. Only citizens allowed in at the moment and they have to quarantine 14 days when they get here. Just negotiating with Australia at the moment and once both countries have zero community transmission we will become one big bubble. Presumably if any other countries manage this we will merge with them too. Maybe pacific islands. If any cases do spring up they have all contacts traced within a couple of days and they are all locked down for 14 days. In a week we expect to go to level 2 which is pretty much open, except social distancing is still enforced. If still no new clusters develop we can drop back to level one which is almost normal I think except for the lack of tourist🥺.
I think it would be then good to try and come up with 5 star quarantine experience and allow northern hemisphere Long stay travellers to summer over here, but with the requirement that they have to do 14 days in isolation at the start. Then they can travel freely between NZ and Australia.
Do you think that would appeal to wealthy retirees trying to escape the northern winter flu season?
Good luck with either of those. The vaccines are downright dangerous, never based on science. Look at YouTube: The YouTube post to see: 1EccentricMoFo From CoverUp to Catastrophe"Vaxed The Film They Don't Want You To See"
There is a cure that is working in Italy and Spain, but unfortunately, being blocked by pharma, ozone, or O3. If everyone were given ozone at the earliest symptoms, they would not need all the ventilators or intubators. People could go back to work. One Texas clinic advertised it could cure Covid with Ozone, and a judge told them to cease and desist.
And another perspective... youtu.be/Bt5m4qQ8tuU
Excellent. Whether or not they are right, it is lovely to see 2 guys clearly talking from their heart with such care and so little ego. We need tests and time to know what is really the best approach.
Our guy is a girl🤣, but yes, they are rational and sensible. No crazy disinfectant cures etc. and people are compliant mostly because we are given information as it comes out and they have our trust.
Oh, you mean the guys on the clip? Oops.
I did mean the guys on the clip yes. And I agree with you completely about NZ. The response was fast, intelligent, and it looks like there was terrific communication by the govt.
Here is Jacinda talking about moving to level 3 from level 4 where we’ve been for 41/2 weeks. I think she is a great communicator which is why people have complied. And I didn’t vote for her party!
stuff.co.nz/national/health...
This is a good interview that shows the thinking behind decisions made. NZ went into lockdown before covid took hold.
"No crazy disinfectant cures "
Some studies ongoing about using disinfectants previously used with SARS-1.

Ozone is oxygen and it cures.
Is ozone really oxygen? I never knew that. In 4 years of undergrad study majoring in chemistry and biology and 8 years of Ph.D. work majoring in bio chemistry at one of the most prestigious universities in the USA I never ran across that information. I wonder why?
Answer: Because once again you are mistaken. Ozone has 3 atoms of oxygen. Oxygen has 2 atoms. They are not the same if you know anything at all about the ozone-oxygen cycle.
Nice try though. Keep trying. One day I am sure you will succeed. I have faith.
Sharon
You're right. Ozone is O3. Once it hits the body, it turns into O2. It has been healing Corona patients in Italy and Spain. It requires an ozone generator and an oxygen concentrater. It can be applied many ways, through insulfation, injection, or Major Authohemotherapy. You can infuse it into water. We have an ozone sauna. Dr. Robert Rowen, MD cured 5 Ebola patients out of 5, before pharma got to the department of health, or whomever in Sierra Leone, and he and Dr. Robins were asked to leave the country. It kills all viruses and bacteria.
Is "Dr. Rowen an MD? Yes, in family medicine which means he is not a virologist by training or experience. Meaning? he is not an expert in viruses. I can find no peer reviewed papers or clinical trials under his name (not surprising) on any subject.
First time I ever heard ozone cured Ebola (which I doubt), but Ebola was what I call a "sanitation" virus, not a SARS derivative. The spread of Ebola was therefore very limited and controllable far, far, far more so than SARS-cov-2.
The use of ozone therapy to treat SARS-1 or SARS-2 is purely theoretical and hypothetical. Never been done. Conjecture. Never been done where you claim it has been done (Italy and Spain) and verified.
Read Sunnen's 2003 theory paper. Pure theory.
Nice try. Keep up the effort. Best of luck.

A bit clumsy in the statistical analysis by the front-line Drs, but I agree we can't perpetuate the social isolation at the expense of the economy. A safe vaccine won't be available anytime soon and further quarantine delays the inevitable. Self-quarantine is strongly advised for those who're highly vulnerable, but the rest need to get back to work.
Hi Rescuema, May I ask you on a different topic - a recommendation for a zinc and quercetin brands?
The below is what I've posted on zinc and the dosage recommendation. Some individuals may require more than others, but you do need to avoid overdosing. I personally alternate between Jarrow's Zinc Balance and Now's Zinc Gluconate (I use a pill cutter). Any reputable brand will be fine, but be sure to compute the "elemental zinc" depending on the formulation.
healthunlocked.com/parkinso...
As far as quercetin goes, I use the pure Quercetin Dihydrate powder by Microingredients. I've used both flaxseed oil and Carson's Very Finest Fish Oil (tastes better) to dissolve it before consumption. I've even added the powder to salads and gave some to my dogs. You can add bromelain and vitamin C to enhance the absorption.
However, there are some findings that glycoside form is more bioavailable than the dihydrate form, so this again is up to your choice. Be sure to choose from a selection available from reputable manufacturers - there are many fake supplements on Amazon - many hardly contain what they claim. It is recommended not to take the supplement for more than 3 months at a stretch, and you should take a break.
Thank you, thank you very much!
The problem in the US is still not enough tests. Once we get enough - I agree with these two on conclusion - open but with some caution and slowly and continue to isolate the sick and test those around them. Their numbers however do not take into account the large number of asymptomatic carriers. It's too late in the US to do what New Zealand and Taiwan have done - in the beginning we could have but it has now spread too far. I also wonder about the different strains - in Seattle with social distancing and stay at home we have done well - does less virulent strain come into play vs NY? Are is the destiny and crowded subways their problem. That fact that Sweden has stayed open and still have fairly decent numbers is promising. Yes they are much higher than other countries in lock down but way better than NY.
You would still knock it back if everyone locked down for 4 -6 weeks like they have in China, Spain, Italy. They had huge numbers. Trouble is Americans aren’t as compliant as there is such a focus on individual rights, for better or worse.
Tiawan hasn't tested any numbers, less than 500 tests as of April 29th . Any country would look good with that approach considering they have a total population near 24-25 million.
An irrelevant example of controlling the virus.
IMHO Too many elements point to a predisposition of the gene to the virus. Children nothing, women less ... many elderly, asintomatici.etc.
Here’s an amazing analysis of this duo’s patently false statistics. Seems these guys were very upset the foot traffic to their owned Urgent Care Centers was adversely impacted by the “stay at home” rules and fear of contracting the virus. People were not utilizing their centers, greatly impacting their pocket. Books. Please read this analysis if you believed any part of these guys’ video. Shame on them. First do no harm; not amended by “unless it adversely affects your income”

Their theory is backed by Dr. John Ioannidis from Stanford, as well as others. Get the country open now.
UPDATE:
A joint statement from the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP) and the American Academy of Emergency Medicine (AAEM): “As owners of local urgent care clinics, it appears [Dr. Daniel Erickson and Dr. Artin Messihi] are releasing biased, non-peer reviewed data to advance their personal financial interests without regard for the public’s health.”
