A new promising study poses a unique Molecule called BT13 that contributes significant improvement of PD . " They found that the molecule — BT13 — was indeed able to boost dopamine in the brains of mice. It also appeared to protect the brain cells tasked with dopamine production from dying off and, unlike GDNF, it was able to bypass the blood-brain barrier. " Excerpt from the study .

This sheds the light of a way to finding a precision target for pathophysiology of PD and developing a matched treatment .
