whole bean mucuna vs. other mucuna supplement?

I haven't seen this kind of testing for mucuna (velvet beans), but here is the results for fava beans.

See Fig. 3. "The influence of various processing methods on l-DOPA content of faba bean leaves and seeds. Values are means of two experiments and three replications. The bars are representing standard error of the means."

Unlike fava beans, apparently it's better not to eat velvet beans uncooked:

The mucuna supplement has threads on this list. I haven't seen much on velvet beans and don't know if you will get the response you want.
