Dating with P.

I've been single for a long time now and that certainly hasn't helped my P. I'm now thinking of breaking out and to start dating again but my confidence is low. Any ideas?

I disclosed it in my dating profile and it did not stop me from getting dates. No point in hiding it because it will be found out sooner or later.

I decided to dive back into dating two days after my brain surgery last year. I fully disclosed that I had PD, just had brain surgery and was completely bald temporarily because of it (I'm a girl). Had 100 messages in 24 hours and have been dating someone I met 10 days post surgery for 10 months now who is a super sweet guy. I was surprised to find a lot of people don't care. Go for it and good luck! I'm for full disclosure from the beginning as my friend with PD who discloses later has had people get mad at him.

Hi Bundoran. I know exactly what u mean! Was diagnosed in '18. Coping without med too. I just considered myself to be undatable now...maybe I should rethink. I'm 58, retired, mother of one, living by the sea, down south.

I agree with others here that honesty is really the best policy, from the get go. Courage necessary too tho'.

I would recommend a statistical approach. According to Psychology Today the odds of meeting someone where it will work is around 1/30.

Geographic compatability is very important.

So. you need to do a lot of responding to online ads. I got 1-2 responses when I answered 10 ads. If you do that steadily and don't let your biases play into it you will succeed. Some people are not open minded enough and think they know what they need. I would recommend an open mind. Also a lot of people are lazy when it comes to the required effort of answering enough ads online. I would recommend match.com which I believe is still the largest.

Best wishes
