Observation

34 Replies

My second med is taken 9:30 am.

After one hour I have breakfast of pastry and fruit. Thereafter, for more than one hour, my tremor is more severe.

Try to cut the pastry.

Or the grapefruit in my mixed fruit.

That’s pretty high carb, lotta sugar on an empty stomach. That might be part of the problem. Try eating protein breakfast. Hope it helps- JG

I agree. Too much sugar on an empty stomach.

...except that protein can interfere with c/l effectiveness

I take meds at least 1 hr before eating, usually longer

My morning smoothie:

* Walnuts

* Sunflower/Pumpkin Seeds

* Coconut milk (around 6oz)

* Frozen blueberries

* Protein powder

* Rice Bran

* Lion’s Mane mushroom powder

* Chaga mushroom powder

* Broccoli sprouts (Sulforaphane)

+ whatever else is around eg, plain yoghurt, avocado, dandelion greens

Blend around 30 sec, I use a NutriBullet

Be well!

My observation: Thiamine + Fasting + Fast walking + No sugar =Days without Madopar + Highly reduced tremor .. :)

chartist profile image
chartist in reply todadcor

The first two and the fourth are antiinflammatory and likely to have antioxidant effects. The fast walking for at least 20 minutes can also be antiinflammatory. The combination should be synergistic and explains why you see the benefits that you do. Thank you for sharing!

I am sure this is the right combination recipe not only to slow/stop progression, but to kill/diminish all existing symptoms, including tremor.. Yet it is a hard work to constantly regulate the doses of the four factors individually. Everyone should do this for him/herself.. :)

dadcor can you tell me how you fast?

dadcor profile image
dadcor in reply tobrikar

I do intermittent fasting. Usually every day I eat only between 3-10 p.m., trying to keep minimum 17 hours fasting period, sometimes more.. No special diet when I do eat, just no sugar.. :)

I think this is where ozzy Osborn intends to visit. Ozzy just been diagnosed with pd. Do you have any knowledge or views on the above. I feel exercise. positive attitude, sleep. Pastry also has a lot of fat which may be slowing down gastric emptying. I find eating low GI carbs works best for me

I have similar only it is not the tremor. It is just that the muscles in the front of my thighs won’t work properly.

Breakfast is usually 1 cup of coffee with milk and toast. Sometimes I have a baked potato just because I like feeling full.

Have tried altering what I have for breakfast but it does not make a difference.

It never happens after any other meal.
