Jaw pain

Anyone experiencing Jaw clicking and Jaw pain? My Jaw gets locked up and was wondering if its b/c of stiffness in PD. !

Hi,

yes it is due to facial muscle rigidity. TMJ joint dysfunction is a symptom of PD. This is one of the first symptoms/signs I had before diagnosis. My jaw clicks and gives a clicking sound when I try to open my mouth. I do facial muscle massage and chew gum with the side the clicks to exercise the muscles,after using my medication.

Same here its killing me.. have u considered botox in the joint?

My jaw began unusual motion. Finally, I devolved mandibular dislocation. Not fun! Valium injection relaxed me sufficiently that the dislocation could be undone.

That was my first and only experience with vallium. Wow!

Wonderful relaxation, three nights of wonderful sleep!

Could vallium injections help reset irregularities of brainwaves altered in PwPs with altered sleep?

I had jaw pain and clicking for years from osteoarthritis. A chiropractor worked on my jaw but another chiropractor worked on my neck bones and both helped.
