Thank you, I'll try. 🙂

Nice aim. But not on the top of a mountain please!

Well, if it comes to that, I live on South Africa s Highveld, which is 6000 feet above sea level -- but I don't think that's what you mean! 😀 People do use yoga to exercise here. I must admit, I'm nervous because of my unsteadiness! I'll try cautiously. Thank you, Malayappan. Have a good day, or as good as you can, anyway.

You have John Pepper for inspiration. You don’t need Yoga!

Indeed! I think of John when I do my conscious walking, as inspired by him. The walking is somewhat limited, though, as the roads and sidewalks outside my retirement village have been under construction for almost a year and it's hard to get about. I've had a so-called Health Walker for years (more fun and takes up less space than a treadmill) and I use that regularly. 😀

Incorrect statement! Not everyone can easily do it! I have been doing yoga for over 40 years and now my knees, back and neck are just too easily strained that I have had to stop ..... about 4 years ago sadly. Diagnosed the in 2013.

I am referring to the yoga demonstrated in the posted video

in reply to Farooqji

Yes, sorry i wasn’t clear in my reply. . I realise you were talking about your video demonstration. Having done the downward dog etc. for many years I just simply had to stop due to the pains I referred to. Twisting my back is quite possible but would bring on tremors in my neck. Could I suggest that "Gentle yoga" would be a better title...... since not Everyone can do it? We are all on our own path iqbaliqbal

as PWP, and our limitations can increase month by month unfortunately.

I hope some of our HU contributors do give your yoga programme a try.

👍

Were you taught these by a yoga instructor?

This is not me. It's a retired psychiatrist Dr. Christian Hageseth diagnosed with PD 6 years ago.

I will follow you back to the mountain!

in reply to kaypeeoh

I believe it was on top of a mountain!

Unfortunately, it sends the wrong message. I am referring to the mountaintop video. It is a very serious trivialization.

There is NO way my husband could bend over all 4s down on ground and then try to lift a leg up. HA! He might make it down ... maybe ...

Near where I live there's a studio that offers a "therapeutic" yoga class that is a slightly gentler version of Dr Hageseth's practice in the video. That therapeutic class is a good one for me as I am not as flexible as the good doctor. Thanks for posting - JG
