Welcome!
Thanks Rita. May I ask how much B1 you take. And in what form. I read deficiency gives burning feet. Dad had this. 300mg B1. Fixed. IM injections? IV? I read that ALLITHIAMINE is better. Do you need as much? Remember reading a detox formula for lead and I think B1 was part of it. We are off to see a dr about chelation.
Interesting forum. Thankyou to all .
Any advice. 4000 mg of B1?
Its water soluble. But my dad is 78.
Blessings . thankyou.
I have
Please Roy. Can you let me know about any side effects. At high dose. Cheers.I'm greatful for any insights. My dads legs stop working when in indecision.like sliding doors. He does a fast little vibrating dance and can fall over.
His walk goes pear shaped when he does not concentrate. No good at multi tasking. Different health professionals.
Different paths.
He has artheiosclerosis and heavy metal poisoning. Lead.alluminium.manganese. cadmium. Two years ago PD specialist said in six months he wouldn't be able to walk and talk. And that is if he took the pink pill (madapa). Which was going up fast.from 4 to 6 then 8 . He was not responding. That may be the case with manganism.
We read about B6, carbidopa .mortality rate by Marty Hinz.
Where do I find the Marty Hinz amino acid protocol? I read that it's individualised. Does an Oct assay interpretation give an accurate level of the dopamine ? Is it accurate.
My dad was never tested.
Lately the macuna we got makes him worse. Try different doses of nutr vita 98%•
We have tried zandopa. Now 15%
Now using Vitex as apparently is does not down regulate the receptors.
Oh dear I started to send this request for to the bloke who I hope you can give me some of your knowledge and experience.i really appreciate this.
Thanks. High dose B1.
Manganism is not responsive to levodopa therapy. That includes various forms of mucuna such as Zandopa. If he is not taking prescription levodopa meds, B6 depletion due to carbidopa is not an issue.
You can read about high dose vitamin B1 here: highdosethiamine.org/
It seems allithiamine does not work as well as thiamine HCl.
Lots of rat studies on manganism but not much more that I could find. One study from 2017 ends with:
Conclusions
Regardless of the recent advances in drug discovery that have provided multiple strategies to alleviate some symptoms and decrease progression, there is yet no cure for Mn-induced Parkinson-ism [71]. Despite many natural and synthetic compounds that have been tested both in in vitro or in vivo studies with promising results, the extrapo-extrapolation of these results to humans has yet to be verified. As an exception, in vivo and human cases effectively treated with PAS suggest the latter may be a promising therapy for manganism.
Thanks Park bear. I read l dopa alleviates manganism but only a bit. My dads manganese level is way down. Perhaps the bit E has helped. Cheers to you all.
Greatful for this lead on B1.
Priceless
