I have got all my info from users as well as reading Dr C’s instructions. In the end, it’s trial and error. I’d like to tell you my experience , as I obviously overdosed my husband. He ended up on 3000mg (3g) and then had a huge spike in his blood pressure (highest being 214/110. Researched thiamine and discovered that it can cause this to happen. Also read about foods that contain high doses of thiamine, eg dried fruits (he’s been having prune juice and prunes daily). The other main food is hard cheese. Result proved it. Off B1 for 2 weeks, blood pressure has dropped. I’ll reintroduce B1 slowly and obviously won’t go that high. This side effect is not common, but a couple of people did have the same problem when I asked the question. Just telling you my story so that you can proceed with caution and an open mind. These sites are so full of information and support. I love them.
