Cutting down on carbadopa-levodopa. Not working ! Suggestions?

Some forum members have reported being able to cut their CL dose after starting on HDT/Thiamine HCL/HCI/Vitamin B-1. Not all, but some.

What is not working

The C/L does not do anything : you probably do not have PD

The cutting back C/L did not help : You probably have PD

In general we have to up the meds as time goes by!

Try excercise, green tea, B1and taking the meds far away from protein. Might help.

Hi Richard.

You can't expect to cut down on any medication, unless it isn't working, and not notice any changes.

If you were to start doing fast walking, and as you were to feel the improvement in your condition and then started to reduce your medication, you would stay on an even keel. The better you got the less medication you would need.
