I would say that that aspect of medical marijuana is very individualized. The effects can vary significantly from person to person. To get a better idea just search marijuana and Parkinson's disease on YouTube :

youtube.com/results?search_...

Ian Frizzell is a regular poster on this forum and his MM youtube videos are pretty good. He has one on that list at around the 10th video.

Hi,

I've been experimenting with Cannabis for 3 years. I diagnosed 5 years ago. California requires testing and has labels telling content. Depending what state you are in, they may or may not.

Everyone is different, but by trying strains etc, you should be able to find some that helps you. Indica helps pain and stiffness, Sativa helps focus, High THC content is most beneficial to Parkies. Hi CBD:THC is good for relaxation and sleep. Play with it until it works. Every dose is different. Recommend subscribing to leafly.com or cannabis.net These will give the latest research, news etc.

The short answer is yes it works.

I suggest you visit these two sites:

1) Project CBD, a trustworthy source of cannabis info with an emphasis on CBD): projectcbd.org/

Copied from their About page:

"Project CBD is a California-based nonprofit dedicated to promoting and publicizing research into the medical uses of cannabidiol (CBD) and other components of the cannabis plant. We provide educational services for physicians, patients, industry professionals, and the general public.

"Project CBD was established in 2010 by journalists who had been covering the medical marijuana story—the science, the movement and the industry."

They have a page about cannabis and Parkinson's projectcbd.org/medicine/cbd...

2) Leafly, a trustworthy and long-standing source of overall info about cannabis including medical vs. recreational use, forms of cannabis available, purchasing locally or online, reviews of methods of ingestion, etc. leafly.com/

Be sure to scroll down on the landing page, there's lots more there than a first impression might lead you to believe. Use the three-horizontal-lines fly-out menu to get an overall sense of what's here -- Leafly is described by Wikipedia as the largest cannabis site on the web.

BOOKMARK EARLY AND OFTEN! Topics, products, and issues can have unexpected connections; the site's pages are are extensively linked and cross-linked, and you may come across valuable knowledge where you would never have looked for it.

Good Luck! Good Health! :-)
