Living proof?

Has anyone watched Living Proof on Amazon Prime? Story of men behind Terry Wahl's protocol for MS. I have fallen off the food wagon recently. This is putting me right back on. Truly inspirational.

Thanks for this. It’s winter here and we’re not eating as many cold raw foods as we should be. A timely reminder!

I’m going to watch it tonight! If it’s too anecdotal, however, I get skeptical again...

Are you on WAHLS protocol? It is of interest to. Me . I’ve been reading up and joined the Book Club...any success w compliance thus far?

I've got her book, haven't finished it all the way but was on her Facebook Page for people following the protocol. I saw many people posting great results with following the protocol. To see the most benefit it is best to get to level 3 where there are many restrictions on your diet, eliminating food sensitivities and a Keto type of plan. I'm looking forward to watching the movie. I pretty much followed the plan for 4 months and was able to reduce my inflammation quite a bit, felt great. Unfortunately I suffered from a pinched nerve suddenly and was doing good just to eat for a month. Haven't really followed it since then.

I just watched (most of) it (got interrupted by the kids!)

.......The jist of it is -

dont trust big charities

theyre in cahoots with big pharma

doctors with good intentions have their hands tied

spread useful knowledge and you'll be sued by the conspirators

eat fresh fruits, veg, fish and lean meat

no gluten, no dairy of any kind, ever

exercise

......and MS specific -

vitamin d

have your jugular veins checked for narrowing

Yup.....about sums it up. Glad you got a chance to watch it. If you think nutrition is only helpful to MS, you may be wrong! Vit D is PD specific as well. Dr. Mischley put me on Vit D. PD has issues with absorption of nutrients. As a result, Dr. Mischley told me to "drink" as much food as I can so it is already broken down as small as possible to aid absorption. NO DAIRY OF ANY KIND!!! :( Carotid arteries should be checked as well, they carry O2 to the brain.

Cream and butter are on the negative side of her pro pd list, so that tells me they might be ok. I suspect ghee is good too. That being said , i totally eliminated all dairy except occasional Kerry gold butter and occasional ghee and i lost almost 15 lbs in under a month. The only other thing I changed was i cut out wheat, too.

lol! I tried to get away with butter and ghee with Dr. Mischley. She told me NO dairy at all from any animal on earth. I've adjusted. It does get easier. I have to cut out wheat next.

That might be an oversimplification on her part.
