Has anyone else have side effects using rytary. Since i started it (3-4weeks ago) I am falling left and right. I haven’t had too much trouble in the past with my balance. Another problem is weakness .. I’ve gotten so weak in a short period of time. Also , is it normal 2hrs before the next dose to begin feeling pd symptoms that begin to worsen to the point where 1/2hr to 45” out I have to sit with my mouth covered (drooling)trembling.for an hr or more. Is that what they call ‘off time??

It sounds like you need to adjust the dosage... What was the form and dosage of the C/L you were you taking before Rytary?
Sounds definitely like off time to me. I agree that you need to adjust the dosage it sounds like you’re not getting enough.
Switching from Sinemet or other C/L to Rytary isn't as easy as you might think. Rytary's L-dopa isn't absorbed as efficiently, so it's not a 1-to-1 change. In general, you have to take more L-dopa in Rytary to get the same effect. There's a web site that helps convert, but your doctor should be aware of this. If you need the site, I can find it for you.
I experienced balance issues when I switched to Rytary from CL, over a year ago. Fortunately not falling, but definitely loss of balance. I think dyskinesia-related. It does sound like your dosage is off. Don’t know if you are taking too much or too little. What dosage were you on of C/L and what dosage of Rytary are you taking now?
Severe aching joints was what my husband experienced on Rytary. He tried to switch to it 2 times and both time he had the same joint pain.
It made me dizzy and very nauseous.
I'm convinced, that is a medication I don't need to add to my symptoms, and another good reason to avoid becoming the guinea-pig-experiment of some neurologist.
I had horrible nightmares when on Rytary.
