Very dizzy, lightheaded, nauseous and feeling chest pressure, fast heart beating, so I did a little research on each medication I am taking and the only one that came with the side effects I am having is amantadine. Emailed dr. letting her know I was stopping amantadine, last yr she had given me entacapone but never took it. So she told me if I wanted to give entacampone a chance. Now I am afraid to try any new medication, is anyone on this medication? If so, any bad side effects? My main problem is that c/l is only lasting 2hrs after that I am in totally slow motion and my other problem is dyskinesia. Will entacampone help with tremors? Thanks 🙏🏽

Entacapone gave me extreme diarrhea after about a month of taking it. I couldn't take it.
Hi, my husband is on entacampone with his Sinemet. Just extends helpful benefits of Levodopa/Carbidopa as far as i know. No adverse side effects to mention.
If C/L helps for about 2 hours only, Entacapone extends the duration to last longer. It’s worth the try. Just FYI, it’ll make your urine color yellowish.
I switched from basic Levidopa/Carbidopa to Stalevo (it has Levidopa/Carbidopa/Entapacone). It works better for me. I do have dyskenesia about 2 hours after I take it but it's worth it. I don't have tremor. I take generic Stalevo every 4 hours.
I used to take Amantadine and liked it, only it gave me Livedo Reticularis (a known, and uncommon side effect), thus I had to stop it.
