I think of all the information that you bring to us , this one is the best. You would be amazed how many people including doctors who have told me there is no pain associated with PD. However the comment about vision not being effected by PD is wrong. My Eye Dr. said I have prisms in my glasses because of PD and dry eyes which is symptom of PD.

Thanks for this. I will keep a print out handy ready for their next lecture and I suppose I could mail a copy to my EX Motion Disorder Specialist , but it came from the internet , not a text book , so I will not bother him with it.

According to my Eye Doctor, who sees Parkinson's patients on a regular basis, some of my deteriorating vision problems is due to PD. He should know. He was able to get the best correction for my glasses, than any other optician, or opthalmologist had done previously. There is no doubt that the severe muscle spasm pain I get, sometimes, from stiffness, perhaps rigidity too, is associated with PD, which I've been diagnosed with, by a movement disorders specialist. I cannot understand how doctors could say that there is no pain, associated with PD!

I totally disagree with this; my MAIN symptom is vertigo, or rather positional instability. I have ruled out other causes of vertigo and the tinnitus which comes with it. I have tried the remedies for BPPV including the Eppley manoeuvre. I have also tried certain medications the names of which I cannot recall.

I have positional instability problems, too, and I am of the opinion it is due to neuro-degeneration, which occurs with PD.

I had some bouts of vertigo. I had a workup done by a balance disorder specialist. He ruled out all known causes and called it "intrinsic vertigo" or something like that. Fortunately it passed. No reason to believe it was any due to anything other than PD.

A number of the other claimed myths are incorrect as well. I have had symptoms worsen over days or weeks for unknown reasons. Fortunately recovered. I have had muscle troubles including weakness, due to the PD.
