Very useful, usually hard-to-find, information. Thanks Iqbaliqbal.

PS : Obviously, the supplements work wonders for that girl on the front page.

Having read through this lengthy article I am amazed that the claims made for most of the individual products contain the word 'CAN'. If these products actually work and have been 'proven' to do so, then why do they not say "WILL"?

We pay good money and we take these products in good faith, but there is no guarantee that they actually work!

When can patients expect to get some honesty from the medical profession and/or the sellers of these products?

Odd... that reminds me of the slippery terminology a certain fast-walking/fast-talking wanna-be guru (his name evades me at the moment) uses in his ‘Reverse Parkinsons’ rants.

This is very interesting and informative and I will read it again . My problem with it is that it is not a blue print but instead a very big list with explanation of everything that there is in the local health food / supplement store. I can go out and spend all my spare cash and buy a bottle of each thing and spend all my spare time making and keeping track of doses.

Is there an easier way? Something like a multi-vitamin or do I have to research each one for possible side effects and monitor . It just seems so over whelming and kinda dum to just consume a bunch of stuff.

Are there professional type people, who have studied Mitochondrial health that I can go to who can narrow it down to each persons particular needs and if so what do you call them ? Is this what a natural path does ? or maybe a Dietitian ?

Yes, there are many professional people who have studied mitochondrial health, but without examination and testing of the individual, and even the value of that is limited, they can't know what's best for anyone given person -- which is why we're all stuck as DIYers.
