I’m posting this device as information only. I have no personal experience and believe you need it fitting personally so might need to live in England.
Hi Daphne! If you find out more, let us know...it looks interesting. They do include a disclaimer that everyone's brain is different so it may not work for everyone.
I think you need it 'fitted' and that means England. Certainly if I learn more I’ll post it. The woman 'invented’ it herself. I can’t imagine what it’s working on... a circle round your ear and a sticky out prong...???! We could all try to make it like in the picture and see who gets any success!
So basically, all this device is doing is stimulating the peripheral vision. Surely we could make some sort of similar gizmo to try out the principle?!
I have a feeling the brochure didn’t offer much information as I didn’t save it! That and the fact you really need to be in England as it has to be fitted, makes it useful for only a few. If I had more symptoms I’d have a go at making one to see if it had any effect!
Meant to say that the price is £695. Seems a lot. Would only countenance this sort of cost if you could have it on approval for a few weeks before parting with any cash
This is definitely a scam, although maybe an unwitting one as the people involved seem more amateurish than evil. The so called device is basically a bit of plastic that hangs over your ear, for which they are charging £1,200 plus vat in the UK. There is no evidence that it works apart from a few anecdotes and a very small and dubious study which has not been published. People are so desperate for anything that will help Parkinson's that they are vulnerable to this kind of hype. A friend was offered a week's 'free trial' after which he was told he had to pay £100 if he wanted to return it! It did nothing for him except raise his hopes and create huge disappointment.
£695 till 1st September. I agree that’s pricey. It isn’t a scam. They are quite open about it not helping everyone. Sandra (the woman who discovered its potential), has a condition where she is unaware of her left side. The device obviously reminds her she has a left side. However, if you don’t have that condition would it reduce PD symptoms?
How much is that in real money--meaning dollars--. The video mentions meridians and a photo suggests the Gall Bladder Meridian. I'm guessing the FIR hat would do the same. Maybe I've matured; I haven't jumped at ordering something that hides its cost. At least the Vielight is up front about prices.
Well I did it! I made one that fits on my glasses. I have been making masks for kids with glasses for a while now, and I have PD. So when I came across this gadget, my first thought was, “I can make this”. It’s a bit rough looking, but my first of of anything always is. I’ll keep y’all posted!
So, there are no electronics in this? It's just a stick with an ear loop? How does this witchcraft work? The website tells nothing about the science. The video of the inventors demonstration is dramatic but there's no explanation as to how or why this is helping, only that it does. Daphne, could you do an interview with them? You're great at research!
