My husband is about to try B1 and I know a lot of you have experience with it now. What dosage and frequency would you recommend? My husband is English and I have read somewhere that Brits need less B1 to work. Also, can anyone living in the UK recommend a brand and where to buy it? Thanks.

I am in the USA, but I buy Solgar Thiamine HCL through Amazon. I was diagnosed last May and my symptoms are very mild. I take 2 500 mg capsules in the morning and 1 500 mg tablet in the afternoon. I am 56 years old and weigh 190 lbs (approximately 86 kg). I hope that is helpful. Dr. C. originally started me at 3 grams (3000 mg) per day, but we eventually cut that in half. Good luck!

Thank you. It seems to be best to start lower and build up.
