Looking for a comfortable Office chair

I'm starting an online business which means I'm going to be at the computer longer but it's not very comfortable in the chair I have. Does anyone have suggestions for a chair that's comfortable that you can spend a little time in? I'm not very sure if anything would be comfortable frankly, but I'm hoping there's something that might be more comfortable than what I have.

I think you really have to sit in a chair to see if it is comfortable for you. Some features to look for include:

- lower back support

- adjustable seat height

- adjustable arm height

- arms that swing up out of the way so they don't bang into a table when you pull your chair up

If you have a membership - Costco and Sams club usually have some pretty good chairs. Also if you live close to an Officemax/Office Depot they have the best selection I have seen.

I have 2 Serta leather office chairs that I bought at Sam's club & Amazon a while back which I really like, but I don't see this model online now. It does have the arms that swing up out of the way.

Thanks for your advice. We're close to Costco and OfficeMax so we'll be checking them out.

Looks interesting and if the logistics weren't so involved I'd love to at least sit on it (I'm in the US). I'm guessing the price is probably more than I wan't to spend if they're not going to show me up front.

Ergonomic chair is worth the investment - we still have to get up and move around once every hour to benefit circulation!

I suggest you go to an office furniture supply store and try out a number of chairs. Each chair is different and we all have different needs. It may cost a bit more but think of it as an investment especially if you will be spending a lot of time sitting in it. I went through several cheaper chairs and am very happy with the one I have now.

I'm going to go out chair trying today. I agree about price. My husband always says " cheap ain't good and good ain't cheap". We balance each other out cause I tend to be cheap!

What kind of chair did you end up with?

I think the biggest thing for me is being able to adjust it easily. I find that what is comfortable right now isn't in 20 minutes.

I do not know the brand. It is identical to the chair I used when I worked so I knew I could sit for hours on it without issues. Good luck with your search.
