A group member tells me that this vitamin is not sourced from China.
non-China source B-1: A group member tells... - Cure Parkinson's
non-China source B-1
China is capable of producing good product and other places are capable of producing bad product. The only foolproof way to know is independent testing of products purchased at retail. Subscription site consumer labs does this. I checked - they tested 50 different B vitamin supplements. They did not specifically test vitamin B1 only products. Three off brands I never heard of failed due to excessive levels of either folate or B6. Everybody else passed including Vitacost and Swanson.
Their FAQ page says the following :
.........................................................................................................................................
' We make every effort to purchase products and ingredients from U.S.-based suppliers, but we do source globally.'
.........................................................................................................................................
So they are saying they source globally, which is anywhere in the world and they say they also use US based suppliers when possible, but where are the US suppliers getting their raw material from? This does not sound very convincing and it also sounds like what most supplement suppliers would do given that many supplement users would prefer non- Chinese raw materials in their supplements.

I see that in your profile you state you are taking thiamine HCL and in previous responses you like allithiamine better. If you were starting now which would you choose? Thx!
When first contacting Doc Costatini, I said I was taking benfothiamine and allithiamine. He objected to the benfo and preferred I take thcl. I take thcl.
Ah, okay that's so good to know thanks very much for the response.
