I just wrote an introductory blog describing my Parkinson's experience and that I was keen to learn more about Dr Marty Hinz and his protocol for coming off the standard leva dopa medication and then lost the whole blog! These things happen, and it is now getting late here in the UK so I think I will get myself ready for some sleep and take this up again tomorrow.

If you are searching for a way to slow down the progression of your Pd or maybe even reverse it then look at my website - reverseparkinsons.net. I have bee able to reverse my Pd and have lived a normal life since 2002 by doing fast walking, taking an MAOb inhibitor, being positive, managing my stress levels, exercising my brain and learning how to use my conscious brain to control my movements.
You will not see anything that needs to cost you one single cent, so if it does not work for you, you will at least be a lot fitter and it will not have put you out of pocket!
If you choose to buy a medication or some gizmo or a magic supplement, which is expensive and none of them work, who have yo got to blame?
At this moment, there is not one medication on the market that has been designed to reverse the symptoms of Pd, or even to slow it down. Do you really have a choice?
My husband has been exhibiting symptoms of PD for over a year, at least. I have been reading with much interest your posts here, and also on your website. I even printed out a couple of pages of someone else's quoting you for my husband to read. When I gave him an overview of what I understood of your recommendations, he said that sounded interesting. He tries to walk every other day, but now he has your info about how to modify that. My comment this morning is "Thank you so much for remaining active on this forum and trying to help and encourage people!" My question is "Do you still take the MAOb inhibitor or was that the med you discontinued in 2002?"
Sorry it has taken me so long to respond but better late than never. I discontinued the MAOb in 2002. I had already discontinued the Sinemet and Symmetrel in 1994. I tried, unsuccessfully, to discontinue the Selegiline twice between 1998 and 2002, but each time I found that I could just not manage to do without it. But in 2002 I persevered and managed to finally come off it. Are you by any chance on an MAOb inhibitor?

MAO (a & b) breaks the dopamine in your brain down so that it can be recycled. Slowing it down makes sense. The natural way of doing that is to eat lots of green leafy veggies. Here's a video. He starts talking about this at 8 minutes in. youtu.be/G75Xu-x9zuY
I'm trying to come up with a plan to have my husband do more walking. We went shopping the other night and he wanted to use his scooter. Asked him, we won't be doing a full shopping why not just use your cane? Couldn't convince him.
He's been getting IV glutathione 1x weekly for the last 7 weeks. Meeting the doctor next week to discuss treatment. He also has chronic Lyme and IV glutathione is used for Lyme as well. He's on an herb protocol for Lyme - nothing extensive.
Now we have 7 inches of fresh snow outdoors. My plan has been to both of us do some exercises in our basement - we have a treadmill, an incumbent bike, and some hand weights. Not sure what is holding me back to starting this with him.

Don't hold back. Exercise is very important. Plan your workouts 3 or 4 times a week & do not come up with excuses to not exercise. Make sure you push yourself, give it 150%. It will help!

I used his protocol for 1 year. Very expensive. I got up to $850 a month. I could never get past the throwing up stage and gave up.
