A Google Search for alternative therapies for Parkinsons showed a case report of homeopathy being successful in treating Parkinsons sans the side effects of allopathy. Are there any other alternative holistic treatment methods for Parkinsons that has lesser side effects than effects.

Thank you. When it comes to work out regimen my father finds it difficult to overcome the body pain. Of late he has developed chest tightness of pain especially the right side even during mild physical exertion. Cardiologist after performing a stress test has ruled out any issues in heart. Wondering how to proceed. Is it PD related?
Siva
I dont believe anyone with true PD has successfully treated their disease long term with alternative therapy or revesed their disease. I do believe some have slow progression through the way they live and because they have a slow variety of pd. if you want to believe youcan be cured naturally you will find lots of others here who think the same but no one who has actually done it. Really it comes down to beliefs as much as facts.
I dont know if your Dad is on anytreatment but i would say yes the pain and chest tightness (short breath ?) are highly likely to be due to pd. the chest walls and diaphragm contain muscles and need dopamine to work. Either regular dopamine from sinimet or from mucuna prurinus. If he is on treatment he may need adjustments to timing or amount.
Just read another post of yours. You dont give the strength of the meds but it seemsa an aweful lot for so eone recent,y diagnosed. I dont know his circ umstances or why he is on all this lot but I would forget about cardiologists can he see another neuro for another opinion.
Thats seems too much and will givehim back pain is my guess. Most people in their first year would be just on sinemet (carb lev) about 3 day is usual. Too much meds can give symtoms like too little
He is also on ropinerole maybe for restless legs but it willbe adding to the problem. I shouldntgive advice only I was upset for him. This pain could also be dystonia from meds.

He is alsomm ropark.. Lonazep and macglaw. Ya One of it is for restless leg syndrome... He saves more troubles from the side effects of the medicines than the issue itself.
