What is helpful for secretions or phlegm ?My Dr just prescribed Atropine drops to use under the tongue.Has anyone heard of using this?
Yes i have been told of this treatment and that it works. Do let us know
"Atropine is a medication to treat certain types of nerve agent and pesticide poisonings as well as some types of slow heart rate and to decrease saliva production during surgery. It is typically given intravenously or by injection into a muscle."
This does work! djjnurse
Drinking apple cider vinegar in the morning helps reduce phelm. 1 TBS in a big glass of water. (16oz glass) keep doing this and give it time.
I have phlegm. It comes and goes. I am not sure of what causes it. Is there a chance it’s caused by what I am eating?
Yes, I worked healthcare many years and the use of atropine is common practice to dry secretions. It was very effective
Take out of diet. Anything dairy, bad oils.
How about starting with questioning what preceded the accumulation of mucous? For example: milk, cheese and dairy products cause this accumulation of thick fluid in my throat. So eliminating the culprit solved the problem without any medication.
My brother got Botox injections in his mouth. I'm sorry I don't know exactly where in the mouth, but it affects the salivary glands. I'm not sure how often but it was effective.
I've had good results with Mucinex, available over the counter without a prescription in the U.S.
Thank you everyone !
