Sounds to me like your physician and neurologists really are uncomfortable assuming responsibility for the care that you need and, by their behavior, I would guess they consider you a "pesky problem."
Perhaps its time for a change?
Additionally, you might mention to all physicians, your regular Vlog on HealthUnblocked and your intent to update your posting including their names next week. When they vehemently object, you should tell them that, unfortunately your hands are tied... that you "have a responsibility to alert your regular followers (who may have similar needs)." Besides, you can add, "they (the doctors) will be spared of seeing "nuisance patients" or pesky problems in future.
The only way to effect change is to name names. We're dealing with suffering and longevity issues here. The responsibility of doctors is to respond effectively to the needs of their clients. Clearly, your needs are not being recognized and acted upon.
By the way, I "walk the talk." I fired my physician as a result of a similar situation.
I may be wrong, but since Ian is in the U.K., he is dealing with one of the downsides of National healthcare.
Julie, at some states, it's not any better! MM is illegal where I live. Neurologists are scarce and appointments even more scarce. MDS are non-existent where I live. I have to drive to another state to see a MDS and it's not close either. FP have to make referrals to see any specialist!
This is so sad and frustrating for you and other PWPs, Ian. Most of such medical and other uncooperative people have one thing in common. They haven't experienced Parkinson's and cannot empathize. Hang in there.
