Exenatide injection info
Hi Rabilo has Exenatide been licensed for Parkinson's. I thought you could only get it if you were diabetic.
Still only licensed for diabetes
I'm interested in using liraglutide. It's a long acting GLP-1 agonist.
Yes. Jury is still out.
I was on the stage 2 trial and I appeared to improve over the time I was being monitored. As a result I was lucky enough to be prescribed it ever since. It is difficult to judge how I’d have been without it but I’m often told that I don’t look as if I’ve got Parkinson’s. However I certainly feel as if I have when my meds don’t work properly.
I know someone who is on Exenatide for Parkinson's. She was prescribed it some time ago and didn't like it for some reason and went back to alternative medications. Having trouble falling etc and really struggling with life so eventually went back to Exenatide. She has been on it for over 12 months now as is very happy this time around. I don't understand how she has been given it so easily, her Dr recommended it to her initially and second time she requested it. It seems if you have forward thinking Dr you may be able to have it prescribed.
I’m in Hertfordshire UK
