What sort of changes have you had and what sort of stem cells did they use.Was it put straight into the brain or through a vein in arm. I have been very interested in this but it is too far from me in NZ . Very expensive to pay for travel as well as treatment but am hoping some one in New Zealand will open up this treatment. There are a couple of places but they do more joint conditions .

Hi I got a general improvement with the pain, stiffness and I think I’m doing things quicker like dressing up, eating, etc. My facial expression improved a lot it is very noticeable when I look on pictures of myself. I haven’t improved too much in my walking motor skills I still freezing and shuffling most when reaching the next Med dose ( the off time). I have reduced by myself the amount of Meds I’m taking by a 25%. The clinic says the patient’s experience is that It will take months up to a year time frame to keep having improvement in the symptoms but I’m getting desperate. I have been struggling with PD for 12 years since I was 43 but certainly if could walk freely again in the near future I will have to say then I will be recovered a 70%. I which I could ...........

Check with the clinic about cutting down on med's.Might be better to follow their advise for awhile and the try cutting down again in a few months. I haven't had stem cells but am trying different things one at a time and recording changes in a diary. Each one has improved a different symptom but I have stayed on meds as well.

There are clinical trials underway in Japan and some scheduled to start in California in a year or so, but there are no legitimate stem cell treatments being conducted for Parkinson's disease other than those trials, to the best of my knowledge.

No changes of any type? What the clinic tell you? Fetal are the most potent right now as they are pluripotent cells may capable to regenerate and create any kind of body tissue from neuron cells to muscles or bone. I did just with umbilical cord derived cells (Wharton ‘s jelly ) from new born babies. They are categorized as adult multipotent cells may regenerate just some tissue. I received an IV infusion to the blood stream and a small injection on the nasal cavity to try to reach the brain the most as possible using the capillaries there.
