My husband's hearing loss has a been one of the hardest losses. We have had two sets of hearing aids the last one being worse than the first ones. I finally decided to see a doctor of audiology who suspected the problem was behind the ear drum. Went to ear sure on today. There is a lot of fluid behind the eardrums. They will put in tubes in to drain the fluid. The Dr will try to do it with local freezing . I was concerned about anesthetic with his Parkinson. Now I am worried about the needles to freeze him. My husband is pretty tough not worried about the needles. Has any one had this procedure? They think it will greatly improve his hearing. I have been fighting for funding for this and new hearing aids . Now I am second guessing myself. My husband is 78. I think his quality of life is at stake here and his age and PD should not disqualify him. I convinced them all. Hope I was right?
